We love sports, sports fans, and Altitude.
Today (2/26), Altitude – the television home to the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche – accused DISH of not negotiating in good faith as the two parties have sought to renew a carriage contract that expired last August.
We are a Denver-based company – home to proud fans of both the Nuggets and the Avalanche. The claim that we are not negotiating in good faith is untrue. We have made multiple proposals that are fair to Altitude, Colorado sports fans, and the overwhelming majority of our customers who don’t watch Altitude.
At issue is Altitude’s steadfast requirement that the majority of our customers pay for Altitude, even though the vast majority of our customers don’t watch Altitude.
We have offered Altitude a variety of creative solutions to fix this – all have been rejected. The last proposal we made, delivered in October, has been greeted with silence.
