Distorted, Low, or No Audio

What Is Happening?

The TV has a picture but there is no audio, or audio is distorted or low.

Why Is It Happening?

This problem is typically caused by a TV with low or muted volume, incorrectly connected cables, or an error in the DISH receiver.

How Do I Fix It?

Resolve this issue by selecting your equipment then completing the steps that appear below.

Hi, I’m Nadine. If you’re experiencing distorted, low, or no audio with your DISH receiver, then this video is for you. If you’re experiencing another issue, check out our other support videos on YouTube or mydish.com for assistance.

If you have no audio, press the Mute button on your remote to see if the audio has been accidentally muted.

If not, press the volume up button on your remote to see if the audio is turned down too low.

If that doesn’t resolve your issue, make sure all the cables are securely connected to the back of the receiver and TV. If any other equipment is connected between the TV and receiver, ensure those connections are secure as well.

If you are still experiencing an issue, please chat with us online at mydish.com/chat or call us at 1-800-333-3474. We’d be happy to help you, and together, we’ll get you back to enjoying your favorite shows in no time.

Even if your receiver isn’t working, you can visit dishanywhere.com or download the DISH Anywhere app to watch shows on your computer, tablet, or phone.

Thanks for joining me, and I’ll see you next time.
